Homer Lew, DO
“Hi, my name is Homer…” is how internist Homer Lew, D.O., greets his patients. “I truly want my patients to get to know me on a personal level,” he says. “It is the one-to-one interaction between a doctor & patient that is essential in healthcare.”
As a child, Dr. Lew witnessed the impact of his father’s debilitating illnesses on his family’s physical, emotional & financial status. He learned the importance of effective communication & set his mind to become a skilled practitioner & communicator.
That’s why Dr. Lew encourages his patients to call him by his first name. He wants them to feel comfortable & at ease to speak openly, &, most of all, to be able to build a trusting relationship with him.
