What are ‘flex spending accounts’?
You can use tax-free Flex Spending Accounts to get reimbursed for eligible medical expenses. A Flexible Spending Account or (FSA), (also called Flex Plan, Reimbursement Account, Cafeteria Plan, Flex 125, Tax Saving Plan, Medical Spending Account), is an employer-sponsored benefit that allows employees to pay for eligible medical expenses using pre-tax dollars. If employees expect to incur medical expenses that won’t be reimbursed by their health insurance plan, a Flexible Spending Account is a good option for them.
